During High Summer the Kids make their way to the Æçern Plateau ; a flat expanse of land above the Crystal Caverns where the crystals whose songs trigger the evolution of the Ti'rhyn have risen from within the caverns below along the roots of the large Oak trees that grow there. This is the highest elevated place on the island where one will find Oaks and is worth noting for this fact. Current theories are that the crystals of the caverns maintain nutrients that otherwise would run off with the spring melt and summer rains.Regardless of the why, this is a very special place indeed and all who find themselves upon the Æçern Plateau speak of a deep reverberant feeling of rejuvenation and joy. The Warrens are where the Ti'rhyn make their homes; networks of lairs and tunnels beneath and between the roots of the trees of the Everforest.The Rangers take care of this area, keeping it clean and protecting the land therein from poachers and other unsavoury characters.
